Jet Star’s Brutality

Jet Star’s Brutality

Monday, April 21, 2008

Mr. Waqas Mohammad of Dulwich Hill, NSW was employed by EGH Jet Star through an employment agency named Blue Collar since 12th of July 2007 as a Baggage handler on a five days per week basis.

On 7th of March 2008, he found out from his mates that he was sacked by the Manger of EGH Jet Star due to a small error while he was working. He then went to the boss in question to clarify the situation. The manager and the employment agency told him that he is no longer required by them.

A few of his work colleagues including his supervisors like Pitt and Cookie requested them to keep Waqas in the Bag Room. Yet, they refused to reconsider the matter.

In desperation and due to lack of legal help or protection, this young man went to the Social Security for registration. During that procedure, the managers in question failed to tell the truth or even confirm or deny the fact that they sacked this young person over a small error. During his employment period he was outstanding and very good worker. They also failed to provide him with an Employment Certificate or any other assistance.

Further to "Taxi Mafia invented WorkChoices, not Howard" (Cabbie May 2007) please examine the followings like A Lost War and Industrial Relations Law Reform. Surprisingly, I have posted them in multiple forums because Howardites are removing them tirelessly. They want information blank and no debate!

Further to Howard's Industrial Relations Terrorism (link #10 below) please examine the response received from Kim Beazley! A few months ago, I said to everyone at a public meeting, "we have lost the Industrial Relations War before even it started"! The ACTU leader Doug Cameron was not impressed at all. Beside politics we had a nice talk. However, you are the judge and let me know if I was wrong at that time.

Thank you for contacting me about the Howard Government's proposed industrial relations changes.

I strongly agree with your concerns.With his control of the Senate Prime Minister Howard's long standing ambition for radical change to Australia's industrial relations system is now being realised.The changes are extreme, unfair and divisive. They will create division and disharmony in Australia rather than harmonious and cooperative workplaces.The Government proposals fly in the face of the long held Australian tradition of a fair go.The Kim Beazley Labor Government will change the law to ensure that no Australian worker can be unfairly dismissed.Labor will make sure we have an industrial relations system that is underpinned by fairness and has a strong safety net of minimum award wages and conditions;
provides a strong independent umpire to ensure fair wages and conditions, and to settle disputes;•
gives proper rights for all Australian workers unfairly dismissed;•
supports the right for workers to reject individual contracts which cut pay and conditions;•
allows employees to bargain collectively for decent wages and conditions;
and• entrenches the right to join a union and to be represented by a union.
Fairness for both employees and employers is Labor's central pillar for Australia's workplaces. So Labor will also act to ensure that employers, especially small businesses, cannot be held to ransom by vexatious unfair dismissal claims and that the processes and procedures that are costly and damaging to small businesses are streamlined or removed altogether.Thank you again for contacting me about this important matter. You can be assured that not only will Labor fight these changes to our fair society every step of the way, but also Labor will take action to remove unfair changes when we regain government in 2007.

Yours sincerely

Industrial Relations Law Reformby Moulavi-Bazar Tuesday July 05, 2005 at 09:24 PM

Well, we have heard them all before during the affairs of MV Tampa, Children Over Board, No More GST, WMD, Saddam's Human Shredding Machine and connection with Bin Laden etc. Surely, this won't be the last. So, what is the reality?

John Howard's Industrial Relations Reform

We are hearing a lots of spins from the predictable groups that the Maritime Union busting and conspiracy graduate John Howard's proposed Industrial Relations reform means, "Bosses are waiting with bagful of money to give a way to workers – but the bloody union leaders are standing in between because they don't want to loose their powers". Well, we have heard them all before during the affairs of MV Tampa, Children Over Board, No More GST, WMD, Saddam's Human Shredding Machine and connection with Bin Laden etc. Surely, this won't be the last. So, what is the reality?

Since 1938 NOT one taxi driver was reinstated for Unfair Dismissal and as a result the taxi industry is going down the hell. Should a driver asks for holiday pay, sick pay or complains about the unsafe condition of the taxi – he or she gets the boot without any recourse whatsoever. According to the law, taxi drivers are entitled to get holiday and sick pay. However, the good bosses pay them nothing. Yet, they falsely claim to the taxman and receive TAX DEDUCTION for the entitlement they never paid in the first place. They blatantly ignore Industrial relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Acts and many other acts.

Two taxi industry "Mafia" John Bow and Howard Harrison admitted all of these under oath in the IRC matter no 4181 of 2003.You may find more by contacting the undersigned or visiting the web below.
